Help us support 500 individuals this #GivingTuesday

This past year our case management and crisis response services served 16,490 people living with a mental health challenge and people living with a developmental disability.

Many of these local individuals are living on limited incomes and do not have access to fresh food. Their fridges are often empty and their cupboards have limited processed food items that will barely take them until their next food bank visit. For individuals who are living on the streets, fresh food is often a luxury.

This holiday season, help us purchase food vouchers or food gift cards so that we can give these individuals access to fresh food. Our goal is to raise $5000 by the end of December so that we can give 500 people, $100 food gift vouchers or gift cards. Because fresh food shouldn't be a luxury.

Your donation will make a positive difference in their lives, please give generously.

Other ways you can donate and make a difference

Many of our clients live on limited incomes, and at times, require support for basic necessities such as food and shelter. Donations made to YSSN help individuals with their wellness journey by providing them with the financial assistance and resources they need to help them with their recovery.

Currently, 100% of all donations received via cash, cheque, or e-transfer are distributed to clients through our Client Fund or go directly to the specified program or special event donors choose to support.

Client Fund

Client Fund donations help individuals with mental health or addiction needs (who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless) by providing them with financial assistance to help them with their recovery.

York Region on a Limited Budget (YRLB)

YRLB resource guide donations will go towards print costs of the guide so that more guides can be made available at no cost to York Region residents.

Designated Contributions

Designated financial contributions may go towards specific YSSN programs or events, such as our Short-Term Crisis Bed Program, client picnics in the summer, peer support event in the fall and holiday client luncheons.
