310 - COPE
Community Crisis Response Service

For York Region residents who are experiencing a mental health crisis, and their family or friends, York Support Services Network offers the Community Crisis Response Service, or 310-COPE.

Telephone Response

By calling 310-COPE(2673), individuals are connected with a crisis response professional, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. The crisis worker will provide an immediate response in a variety of critical situations, including: depression, intensive feelings of distress, loneliness, anxiety or fear, thoughts of suicide, feelings of rage, hopelessness or despair.

The Community Crisis Response Service, through community partnerships, supports children and adolescents in York Region who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Mobile Response

A Mobile Crisis Response Team enhances the telephone service, when required.

Mental Health Support Team

The Mental Health Support Team offers a mobile response by YSSN crisis staff and a plain-clothed York Region police officer. The Team provides a timely response to calls involving persons with mental illness who have come into contact with the law.

The Mental Health Support Team operates from 2:00 pm to 12:00 midnight, 7 days-a-week. Callers can access these services by calling 310-COPE(2673) or Police Dispatch.

 Short-Term Crisis Beds

Through YSSN's Short-Term Crisis Bed Program, individuals in crisis requiring time away from their present situation are offered a supportive place to stay and assistance in resolving their crisis and accessing needed resources.

Community Crisis Response Network

The Community Crisis Response Network supports persons in crisis whose needs require immediate response from a range of service providers. Connected by formal working partnerships, the Network responds to an immediate crisis and ensures the appropriate linkages for a longer-term solution. The Network assists persons with a developmental disability, an acquired brain injury, a serious mental illness, or a dual diagnosis. Callers can access these services by calling 310-COPE(2673).

YSSN is a non-profit organization that receives funding from the Ministry of Community and Social Services, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. There is no fee for our services.
