The Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) provides York Support Services Network with rules for collecting and releasing personal information. In addition to ensuring protection of privacy, PHIPA facilitates collaboration within the service system.

Unless otherwise instructed, YSSN will assume that consent has been given to collect, use and disclose personal health information in order to provide case management services and a community crisis response.

The Personal Health Information Notice (see below) describes the agency's responsibilities regarding privacy and the privacy rights of consumers.
