At YSSN, we are dedicated to supporting the unique needs of our clients, as we help them to participate in community activities and address goals for living, working, and learning. We recognize their individual strengths and believe that everyone has the capacity to learn, to change, and to grow.

Delivered Through Teams

All YSSN programs have been organized within teams. This means that workers share their professional knowledge and skills with each other to benefit each client. A team approach offers clients access to consistent service and a broad range of skills.

Locally Based

YSSN services are offered to individuals who live in York Region, through local offices in Sutton, Newmarket, Unionville, and Richmond Hill, and a satellite location in Woodbridge. YSSN also meets with clients in their home and in the community.

Delivered to Reflect Your Personal Needs

Services are offered in a way that reflects each person's needs. An immediate response may be required to address a health or safety issue; an ongoing response may be needed to assist individuals to manage complex needs using a variety of services; and a periodic response may be needed to help individuals maintain their independence.

Structured to Support Individuals with Complex Needs

Individuals who have complex needs face unique challenges getting the supports they require. By combining the expertise and knowledge of staff from the developmental services and mental health programs, the needs of individuals who are dually diagnosed can be met in a meaningful way. YSSN's team-based approach, combined with strong parterships, enables our staff to seek the best solution for each person.
