We are currently seeking volunteers to help us with the following initiative.
Senior Caregiver Volunteer–Mental Health Guide
August to December, 2019, 2 hour sessions, Aurora location
We are looking for senior caregiver volunteers (55 years and older) to help us collect information and build a community-based mental health resource guide for senior caregivers who are caring for someone who has a mental health and/or addictions diagnosis.The guide will help provide education, awareness and self-help resources to other caregivers across York Region and South Simcoe.
This initiative has been funded by the Government of Canada – New Horizons for Seniors Program.
- 55 years old or older
- live in York Region or South Simcoe
- have experience caring for someone who has a serious mental health and/or addictions diagnosis
- Are comfortable participating in a focus group/consultation environment
- Have advanced knowledge of mental health and addictions resources in their community

Friday, November 15, and 22, 2019
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Volunteers only need to participate in one of these sessions.
*Refreshments and snacks will be served at all meetings. Bus tickets are available for volunteers.
