Resource Days offer a unique opportunity for you to meet one-on-one with a case manager to discuss and ask important questions related to your situation.
We offer a number of different types of Resource Days sessions across York Region to help you with your specific needs.

Developmental Services Resource Days
These sessions are for children 4 years and older, and adults who have a developmental disability.
- Fill out forms and applications (e.g. ODSP, SSAH, Mobility transit, etc.)
- Find resources
- Give you information on adult services and Developmental Services Ontario (DSO)
- Financial planning resources

Funding Options Resource Days
These sessions are for families of children with special needs ages 4 to 18 years old.
Need help understanding what funding options are available for children with special needs? Book a free, 90-minute session with a case manager to discuss and ask important questions related to your situation.
We can help you:
- fill out funding applications,
- find resources, and
- give you information on funding
** Please note at this time, this workshop is being offered virtually. However, in order to provide you with relevant supports in your area, please register for the office location closest to you.

Ontario Autism Program Resource Days
These sessions are for families in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) who need help finding resources and supports.
Several times a month you can book a 90-minute appointment to meet with a family support worker so that you can get help with:
- Childhood budget applications
- Funding options
- Recreational resources
- Respite services
- Completion of other applications
- Referral to other agencies
- Transitional information

Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mental Health Resource Days
These sessions are for anyone 16 years and older, who does not currently have case management support and needs help figuring out mental health resources and how to access available services in York Region and South Simcoe.
Once a month you can book a 60-minute appointment to speak with a case manager so that you can get help with:
- filling out initial applications for financial assistance programs such as Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), housing applications,
- finding information about available community resources, such as, free counselling options, local programs, where to access shelter, food, furniture, community meals, etc.,
- finding information on supportive housing options in York Region,
- getting connected to ministry-funded services,
- requesting short-term supports via Streamlined Access, and much more.

Transition Planning Resource Days
These sessions are for people who have a developmental disability and/or autism, are transitioning to or in high school or recently graduated from high school, and need help planning for adult services.
Several times a month you can book a 60-minute appointment to meet with a transition planning case manager for help with:
- Resources relating to transition planning
- Develop a transition planning checklist
- Information on ODSP and DSO
- Financial planning resources
- Navigating and understanding the developmental services system
- Locating and accessing appropriate resources
