YSSN has served more than 200,000 people

We began in 1982 by providing case management to people with a developmental disability. In 1985, a Mental Health Case Management Program was added, followed by community Crisis Response Services launched in 1999.

In July 2011, YSSN was designated as Developmental Services Ontario for the Central East Region. Most recently, in 2023 YSSN became founding partner in Canada’s 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline.
