Community Crisis Response Service

For individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis, and their family or friends, Your Support Services Network offers the Community Crisis Response Service, or 1-855-310-COPE (2673) or (TTY) 1-866-323-7785) .

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and serving residents of York Region and South Simcoe.  We are a member of the York Region Crisis Support Network and part of the Integrated Child and Youth Mental Health Crisis Response Service for York Region and South Simcoe.

Telephone, Text and Live Chat Response

By calling 1-855-310-COPE (2673) or (TTY) 1-866-323-7785)  individuals are connected with a crisis worker, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The crisis worker will provide an immediate telephone response in a variety of situations, such as if you are feeling depressed, distressed, lonely, anxious, scared, angry or are worried that you have no where to go.

If you don’t feel like talking to someone, we also offer text and Live Chat crisis services. Both services are available everyday from 7:00 a.m. to midnight. Text us at 1-855-310-2673 , or visit our Get Support page to connect live to our crisis workers online.

The Community Crisis Response Service, through various community partnerships, supports children and adolescents who are experiencing a mental health crisis, as well as seniors, their families and their caregivers who live and cope with dementia, mental illness and other neurological conditions at home, in long term care facilities or elsewhere.

Mobile Response

For situations assessed to require a more direct, face to face response, a Mobile Crisis Response Team is able to respond within 12 hours, 7 days a week to provide on-site supports.

If you need further supports, we can connect you with or refer you to our Streamlined Access Service as well other community partners such as Kinark for Children and Adolescents or LOFT’s Behaviour Support Services for seniors experiencing responsive behaviours or dementia.

Mental Health Support Team

Should your situation find you distressed or in crisis and in contact with the police, the Mental Health Support Team is available to provide support.  Together a YSSN Crisis Worker and a plain-clothed York Regional Police Officer can offer a timely mobile response to ensure that appropriate Police and Crisis Services are available.

The Mental Health Support Team operates from 10am to 10pm, 7 days a week and can be accessed by calling 1-855-310-COPE (2673)

Short Term Crisis Beds

If you require time away from your present situation, YSSN’s Short Term Crisis Bed Program will provide a safe and supportive environment and assistance in stabilizing your crisis and assessing / accessing needed resources.

Crisis Peer Support

If you have been in crisis or have stayed in our Short Term Crisis Bed Program, you can build a one-on-one relationship with a Crisis Peer Support Worker to prevent further crisis and work towards wellness.  Follow-up after discharge will be provided, if this is seen as helpful and desirable.
